A Special Beginning in Alaska

This new offering was inspired by a deeply moving experience earlier this year. Hazel was invited to Alaska to capture a special dog named Arizona. It was a project like no other—not a traditional shoot, but one that carried immense emotional weight. Hazel shared her thoughts about the experience:

"This wasn’t a typical project, but then again, we’re very familiar with unique and special requests. This project was a dog. A dog that meant so much to a few people, a dog that meant a lot to me.

I wanted to capture the beauty and the fun that our own dogs see in us. They see us raw, unfiltered, and love us anyway, and I wanted to tell that story.

Just like how our location, Alaska, is rugged, wild, dirty, bright, wet, and majestic, these images convey the same. Beauty in raw everyday life for a perfect dog.

Here’s to the dogs we know and love. To the ones we’ll meet again and the ones we haven’t met yet that are destined to muddy up our lives in all the best ways."
